DLI requirement

You normally need an acceptance letter from a designated learning institution before applying.

PAL or TAL

Many applicants now also need a provincial or territorial attestation letter unless they fall under an exception.

Proof of funds

Applicants usually need to show they can cover tuition, living costs and return transport.

Permit and entry document

The study permit is not the same as your entry visa or eTA, which is normally issued alongside approval where relevant.
